MOVING ON FROM AMAT UK

AMAT UK is a temporary accommodation provider – we provide supported housing to homeless adults until we can support them to “move on” into a permanent living situation when they are ready to do so.

AMAT UK has a dedicated resettlement officer who works with our residents to make sure that their return to independent living is suitable and sustainable.

This part of our work helps us to tackle revolving door homelessness; once our residents are ready to leave AMAT, we make sure they have the skills needed to live independently.

We help residents improve their budgeting skills, basic living skills and the practical aspects of moving into a new home.

Even when they have left our accommodation, we support them for a further three months to make sure there are no issues, and they are settled.

This is a great example of what we are all about – getting homeless adults back on their feet!

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Amazon Wishlist – Our list has been set up to help provide residents moving into independent social housing with essential living items. With the cost of deposits increasing and limited budgets, these generous donations help to furnish homes and reduce stress for newly moved-on residents. Items include bedding, towels, and appliances. These essential items help us to help the residents maintain and sustain their tenancies.  If you are able to help us help residents then please visit OUR WISHLIST

AMAT UK works closely with other agencies in the local area to improve lives of individuals. One Big Family kindly donate Instant Home Kits to residents that move on into their own independent tenancy. Without this collaborative working amongst agencies, residents’ tenancies may be put at risk.

We would like to say a massive thank you to One Big Family for all their help and support to our recently moved on residents.
