AMAT UK has been awarded funding to work with Women experiencing homelessness in a new, dynamic, empathic, and exciting way.
Our new Women’s project offers support, advice and guidance to Women experiencing homelessness, and living in the community. This project aims to empower, connect and support Women to reclaim and rebuild their lives, in an environment that celebrates their achievements, and supports them to understand the trauma that they have experienced, whilst building the foundations for independent living and positive connections.
Women’s Project Support Worker
£27,085.50 a year – Permanent
About the Role:
- Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
- These hours can be flexible and will be discussed during the interview process.
- Working from our Women’s only accommodation, and Office Base
This includes:
- Being the key support worker for Women accommodated by AMAT UK, developing person centres support plans and risk assessment, delivering in house activities and events and signposting them to key partner agencies.
- Managing a curated caseload of Women experiencing homelessness
- Reviewing and celebrating achievements and learning points, documenting these on our CRM system.
- Maintaining good liaison with the Support Services Manager, AMAT staff and other key partner agencies.
- Work alongside the WP Community Support Worker, and other HIVE staff to arrange events and activities.
- Record conversations and interactions/outcomes for reporting and monitoring purposes.
- To offer basic support to Residents and community members and visitors who wish to access services.
- To carry out support actions in line with Residents’ support plans.
- Facilitating group activities as required.

Women’s Project Community Support Worker
£16,251.30 a year – Part-time
About the Role:
- Part-time (22.5 hours per week) community support worker – based in The HIVE
- These hours can be flexible and will be discussed during the interview process.
- Working from our community space – The Hive
As a Women’s Project Community Support Worker, you’ll be facilitating activities and appointments with key partner agencies in our Community Project – The Hive.
This include, but are not limited to:
- Being the first point of contact for Women accessing the Hive and signposting them to key partner agencies.
- Maintaining good liaison with the Support Services Manager, AMAT staff and other agencies working out of the Hive space.
- Work alongside the Hive Community Worker, to arrange events and activities.
- Provide support to AMAT volunteers and coordinate their day-to-day activity and training.
- Recording Hive activity for reporting and monitoring purposes.
- To offer basic support to Residents and community members and visitors who wish to access services.
- To carry out support actions in line with Residents’ support plans.
- Facilitating group activities as required.

Housing Services Team Member
£26,227.50 per year – Permanent, Full-time
About the Role
- Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
- Day shifts (8:45am–5:15pm), plus one late shift (12:30pm–9:00pm) per week
- Minimum of one weekend in four, plus bank holidays (including Christmas and New Year) on a rota basis
As a Housing Services Team Member, you’ll:
- Carry out daily checks across properties (e.g. heating, water, fire safety)
- Complete room checks and collect weekly signatures and rent payments
- Monitor health & safety standards and report issues promptly
- Carry out minor repairs within your ability and report major repairs to maintenance
- Support residents with internal moves where needed
- Address and manage incidents of anti-social behaviour
- Build positive, professional relationships with residents while ensuring house rules are respected
- Keep clear and professional recording of housing related support on individual resident files

Support Worker (Homelessness)

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you’ll empower an allocated group of residents to achieve their goals and move forward positively.
This includes:
- Developing and delivering person-centred support plans
- Holding regular support meetings with service users
- Referring residents to key services and agencies
- Assisting with benefits, resettlement, and practical issues
- Keeping accurate and up-to-date case records
This role is varied, challenging, and deeply rewarding.
